Cougar at Sea Rates
11/16/2007: Holland America (and a number of other cruise lines) has determined that a fuel surcharge is warranted for 2008 sailings. These charges were recently announced and must be added to the prices published below. These supplemental fuel charges are not published in the 2008 brochures, but are reflected in any reservation made with the cruise line. The additional cost is $5 per person, per day, resulting in a total charge of $35 per person for this seven day sailing.
These prices are inclusive, and include all taxes. Your cruise accommodations, meals, entertainment, and port taxes are all included in these prices. Be aware that some companies advertise cruise prices excluding taxes and fees. Cruise costs are per person, based on the category chosen. Differences in price are determined by the size and location of your accommodations. An outside cabin with a private verandah will be more expensive than a view cabin without a verandah. Categories which are the same size will range in price based upon the location of the cabin. VA for example, will be more expensive than a VE stateroom because it is closer to the center of the vessel.
Third and fourth passengers occupying the same cabin pay a total of $759, regardless of accommodation level. This price includes the cruise price, taxes, and commemorative shirt. Not all staterooms will accommodate 3 or 4 passengers, so space is limited for 3rd and 4th occupancy.

Deposit and payment schedule
To confirm your reservation, an initial deposit of $350 per person is required. Final payment is due June 1st, 2008.
Cancellation penalty schedule
If you cancel your reservation, certain penalties apply according to this schedule:
| Anytime after reservation is confirmed until 90 days prior to sailing | $50 per person |
| Between 90 days and 61 days of sailing | 350 per person |
| Between 60 and 31 days of sailing | 50% of cruise fare |
| Between 30 and 16 days of sailing | 75% of cruise fare |
| Within 15 days of sailing | 100% of cruise fare |
